Wes Wilson called me and wanted me to run over to Jerry,'s house and take a group photo for a poster before they left on their road trip. When I got there, they were all higher than kites and laughed at me and gave me the finger and marched down the highway, laughing all the way and giving me the finger. Pissed me off went back to my art studio and I drew the bears just to piss Jerry, and the boys off.
When Owsley came to my studio to deliver some acid for us to sell, he noticed the bear picture and he asked about it, and I told him the story, so he took his camera out and snapped a picture of my artwork. I didn't know what he was up to until I saw the Bears on Jerry,'s new album cover, the bears were on the cover along with the steal your face, I couldn't do anything about it since I was in Vietnam
